U.S. Spies See Signs of al Qaeda Fighters Returning to Afghanistan

WASHINGTON—U.S. intelligence businesses are looking at early signs that al Qaeda militants have begun to return to Afghanistan, a senior formal claimed Tuesday, right after they dispersed from the state in reaction to the U.S. counterterrorism work there.
