Oscars 2022: Will Smith apologises to Chris Rock, says he’s a ‘work in progress’

Will Smith, immediately after the controversial incident at the Academy Awards 2022 ceremony on Monday, has issued a public apology to Chris Rock. Smith had gone up to the phase where Rock was presenting and smacked the comedian for his joke on Smith’s spouse Jada Pinkett Smith. Smith in his apology claimed that his conduct was unacceptable and inexcusable, and that he is a perform in development.

“Violence in all of its kinds is toxic and harmful. My actions at previous night’s Academy Awards was unacceptable and inexcusable.
