Industry says India has surplus face masks, urges govt to allow exports

“We request you to kindly intervene for opening up exports of surgical three-layer masks other than N95/N95 respirator masks as currently we have surplus potential lying with producers,” the Association of Indian Healthcare Gadget Business wrote to the govt.

The potential with producers is more than more than enough to cater to the domestic prerequisite.

“These producers are halting or slowing down generation considering that the final 15-20 days as they have unsold inventory and slipping desire and slipping current market selling prices,” it wrote.
