Former Mexican Police Officials Indicted in New York
MEXICO CITY—Two former senior Mexican law enforcement officials, major aides of the person who ran the country’s drug war for 6 yrs, were indicted Thursday in New York on prices of taking thousands and thousands of dollars in bribes from the Sinaloa Cartel in exchange for security and enabling tons of its cocaine to move as a result of Mexico unhindered.
Luis Cárdenas Palomino and Ramón Pequeño were billed with a few counts of cocaine trafficking conspiracy.
