Denmark Gives Russia’s Nord Stream 2 Pipeline a Path to Completion

Denmark granted unexpectedly swift acceptance for resuming construction of the Russian-backed Nord Stream 2 pipeline in Danish waters, probably clearing a person of the past hurdles for finishing the project at the middle of a geopolitical tussle.

The pipeline, as soon as finished and accredited, will produce Russian purely natural gas to Germany, and while those two governments have characterized the project in commercial conditions, U.S. lawmakers and officials dread that Nord Stream 2 will give Moscow larger political leverage across Europe.
