Centre raises rate of transport, marketing assistance for agri exporters
In a fillip to exporters of farm products and solutions struggling to bear the load of amplified freight expenses, the Centre has increased the rates of assistance below the transportation and advertising and marketing assistance scheme and also involved dairy products and solutions below its ambit.
“Fees of assistance have been amplified, by fifty for every cent for exports by sea and by one hundred for every cent for exports by air below the revised scheme,” according to an official launch.
The Section of Commerce has notified the Revised Transportation and Advertising and marketing Support (TMA) for Specified Agriculture Products Scheme’ for exports effected on or immediately after April one, 2021 up to March 31, 2022, the launch pointed out.
In February 2019, the government experienced released TMA for Specified Agriculture Products Scheme to supply assistance for the international component of freight, to mitigate drawback of better freight expenses confronted by the Indian exporters of agriculture products and solutions.
The scheme was originally applicable for exports involving March one 2019 and Match 31 2020 and was afterwards extended by one 12 months.
Dairy products and solutions, which were not suitable below the before scheme, will now get assistance below the revised scheme, the launch added.
The Directorate Typical of Foreign Trade (DGFT) will soon notify the process for availing assistance below the revised scheme.
