The world’s biggest cruise firm has begun cancelling following year’s trips in a contemporary blow to an marketplace devastated by the coronavirus pandemic.
Former FTSE one hundred cruise operator Carnival blamed border constraints and the “continued uncertainty of airline travel” for axing Princess Cruises sailings in early 2021.
Jan Swartz, Princess Cruises president, said: “We share in the disappointment of this cancellation for friends of our planet cruises.”
The cancellations comply with an announcement by Cunard, also owned by Carnival, that products and services will be suspended until eventually March following year.
All sailings have been cancelled for Queen Elizabeth until eventually Mar twenty five, Queen Mary two until eventually Apr 18, and Queen Victoria until eventually May sixteen, Cunard said.
Shares in Carnival, also stated on the New York stock trade, have plunged above fears that the Miami-headquartered firm faces a very long street to recovery in the wake of the pandemic.
