The Central Arecanut and Cocoa Marketing and Processing Cooperative (Campco) Ltd has resolved to get arecanut from growers in Kasaragod district of Kerala three instances in a week.
SN Khandige, Vice-President of Campco Ltd, told Enterprise Line that the Kasaragod district administration has presented permission to improve the range of times of procurement in a week.
Until now, the cooperative was authorized to procure arecanut from grower-members in Kasaragod district of Kerala only a single day in a week. Following the permission from the Kasaragod district administration, the cooperative has resolved to improve the range of times of procurement to three times in a week with influence from May perhaps four.
Campco will procure arecanut from growers at Badiadka, Kanhangad, Bayar, Perla, Bandadka, Neerchal and Mulleriya branches of Kerala on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays of just about every week, he claimed.
A member can provide a highest of 500 kg of arecanut in a month. Looking at the social distancing prerequisites, each and every branch will be in a position to get arecanut from a highest of thirty members concerning eleven am and four pm on the times talked about.
He claimed the members will have to take tokens from the branches concerned right before bringing the commodity for providing. The grower-members will have to comply with all the pointers issued by the authorities on social distancing and other similar troubles, he additional.
